Do you have any specific ideas of what you envision yourself doing? I know there are programs out there for entertainment law, theater management, and such.

I was thinking even something like living in LA or NYC and working with entertainment firms/agencies if that makes any sense.

Maybe I'm thinking more towards marketing, but law could be interesting considering i've always thought of getting into poli sci and do well in gov classes.

thanks

I think it would be a better to major in business admin/mgmt. It will not limit you to entertainment ONLY, and there may be better job opportunities later.

Jobs in the entertainment industry are not very stable. I had a teacher who worked at Dreamworks and Warner Bros. He LOVED his job, and he seemed to be great at it as well. However, he still got laid off.

A suggestion might be the Univ. of Southern California. It is in the heart of Los Angeles and the university has strong ties to the entertainment industry. School of Cinematic Arts is superb. The Annenberg School has a fine Broadcast Journalism major. Thornton School of Music has a Music Industry major. Another choice might be a business degree with a minor in cinema-television.
Right now there are not many industries where jobs are stable, unfortunately. I feel if you are doing something you love and enjoy your chances of success are greater.
