Entertainment near UCF...

So I'm bored and don't have anything to do. Last year I'd go bowling, movies, karaoke, Universal, Disney, skating, shopping, Chuck E. Cheese (yes I love that place) etc.. with my friends, but we are getting tired of going to the same places. We're not into the whole clubbing/alcohol scene, so I was just wondering if there's anything else around UCF that we're missing out on... Oh I heard they just built a Dave And Busters around the downtown area... joy!

We also attend some on-campus events.. like the comedy show held last week. But eh... lol

But anyway, do you guys do anything else besides going to these places?

Have you looked into things like canoeing? Bike riding? Airboats? The beach? There are lots of outdoor activities.

Check out Black Hammock in Oviedo. Also, Fort Christmas park is East on Colonial as is a nature preserve (on South side off Colonial/50) where you will see critters in the wild (it’s a park, will cost a couple of bucks and powerline road is a nice drive). Last time I was there I walked up to over thirty alligators sunning themselves. Admittedly I didn’t get too close before they dove in the water to hide - Lol.

Do you like fishing? Has added advantage of being relaxing so you can read a book, and you might save money on dinner if you catch something. Check into a $12 or $15 fishing license from the drivers license office.

There is a wild animal rehab place on the left before Ft Christmas as well. Great place to stop and they are always looking for volunteers if you have some free time.

Try joining Groupon, Living Social and DailyDeelz http://www.ConnectToDeals.com to get 50% off coupons for activities and things.

Oooo, outdoor activities, LOL! Never thought much about them, haha. We tried going to the beach once but it was pretty far away… Almost an hour drive D;

No, I’m not into fishing… the only kind of fishing I do is on the computer, lol. That Fort Christmas park sounds pretty nice though! Will definitely check it out one day.

I also have the Groupon app on my phone. The deals seems to be pretty good, although I haven’t tried utilizing them yet.

I really want to go sky diving one day… do you know anything about that?

Thanks for the suggestions!
