enthusiasm

tufts is my first choice, but because of financial difficulties, and because I've never visited the school, i can't apply ED (I would apply even though I haven't visited but my parents don't want me bound to a place I've never been). anyway, i really want to show my enthusiasm about the school, which is difficult to do on the application, so does anyone have any ideas regarding what kind of things i could do to show that i really really really want to go to tufts (other than nailing my interview)...are there people I could email, talk to, etc? all you cc'ers seems to know so much about cracking the adcoms:), help!!

Here's what I did:

Applied ED I (I know it's not an option for you)
Had a very good interview, and asked questions about specific things; if they had crew, how double majoring was, etc...
Sent an update after I applied, including recent debate awards, along with my 1st quarter senior grades signed by guidance, and an extra letter of rec.
Did the optional essay
Kept contact with the admissions officer that I met at a local information session
Spoke with the head of IR at Tufts, my major, about a recent debate topic about the U.N.

That's all I can think of, good luck!
