Ok, so I applied for both entrance bursaries and major scholarships, got no scholarship but did get a 6k bursary. My question is are those renewable, or are they one year only? I can't really tell and my online thing did not say.

They must be super stingy with scholarship money... I got a likely letter from Cornell, but no scholarships from McGill (which I'd rather go to McGill...)

According to the website ( Entrance awards ):
"Some of these bursaries are renewable and are tenable until completion of an undergraduate degree, up to a maximum of four years, provided the criteria for renewal (financial need and academic standing) are met. "

As some are renewable, we therefore can presume the rest are not renewable; therefore, I must ask, did you get your letter in the mail? I would assume that the criteria for renewal, if applicable, would be in the letter.

(When it comes to scholarships, McGill isn't very magnanimous; or, somewhat more accurately, they're notoriously cheap.)

I did not get a letter in the mail, I checked online obsessively until I saw it today. I would think it would say whether renewable or not but who knows. I really hope it is... That gives me some semblance of a chance to attend. Otherwise it's highly doubtful.

@ZFanatic

How much money did you ask for in the Financial aid application? And did you send documentations like Tax forms, bank statements, etc.. like the American universities ask for from International Financial aid applicants.

I asked for 6k, I got 6k. I wanted to ask for a significant amount, but I didn't want to ask for the maximum 10k because to me that seems like you just want it handed to you rather than wanting them to lend a hand to you, you know?

I sent in only the application (which took about 10 minutes) and the CSS profile. That's all they need.

Damn, I asked for 10K because I actually need something along the lines of 15K. Hope that doesnt come back to bite me in the ass.

And since I am from Pakistan, is it better that i send all of the previously mentioned documents? because while it maybe easier for McGill obtain the relevant information from the US, it would not be from Pakistan...

And how much time did it take them to process your financial aid application?
