Entre Plus-Minuses?

Is there really an advantage to having entre plus on campus? In terms of dining, why not just get a debit card with cash (this way you won't be restriced to places that only take entre plus). Basically, should I buy more entre plus for my MCard, or should I just set aside that money and put it on a debit card?

i would put some money in entree plus. the biggest advantage over a debit card is that you can use it a lot of campus soda machines--you'll be drinking more soda than you ever imagined. I'd put like $50 on it to start.

Haha, well that might be the case for most people, but I'm not a soda drinker. I get all my caffeine from tea and coffee.

that's gonna change. you can use it on coffee machines too.

Well, assuming I make my own coffee, do I have no other reason to put entre plus on my MCard then soda/coffee?

I'd only get entree plus if you have a meal plan and don't think you're going to make it to 13 meals a week, then switch to something with 9 meals a week+$200 entree plus per term. But I don't see any real reason to put your own money on Entree Plus, except maybe for laundry if you don't have a lot of quarters.

Not sure if this will continue next year, but you also got a 15% discount on doing laundry when you used it.

laundry definitely. You wont want to have to search for $2 in quarters every time you want to wash your clothes. So definitely put some money into entree for that. One time the swipe machines broke down in markley, and it took me half an hour to find quarters.

The Entree PLus carries over each term so I don't see any harm in putting a bit of money in it.
