What do you think about it? Have you started your own business? Have you considered it? Would you even want to?

For much of my life I was the quiet, ineffectual character. Even my horoscope tells me so. I figured I'd be good in a highly-specialized field like a doctor or researcher, but this is 'Merica, and the way of the entrepreneur calls to me.

I feel very passionate about some things (mostly tech/bio stuff), I'm relatively intelligent, and I feel like I have the discipline to do whatever it takes to run a business. Even though I'm usually shy, I'm pretty cultured and I feel like I know how to "connect" with most people.

Also, I like the idea of being my own boss--but I feel like that could be the wrong reason to go for it.

I'm just curious as to what CC (a board committed mostly to educational, and not entrepreneurial, advancement) thought about the prospect of running your own business.

I like it. I'm 18, unmarried, full of energy, and I feel like I don't have too much to lose.
