Envelope [Beware of silly questions]

So, I was just wondering, which way do the openings of your envelopes face when you address them to send your transcript and stuff? I usually do it on the right, but sometimes I randomly switch. I wonder if this holds some kind of deep psychological meaning.

Also, do you think it would be endearing or disrespectful to draw on the envelope? Some cool designs, or a nice watercolor or something on the back? Would such creativity be appreciated (say...at Tufts)?

Also, what kind of stamps do you guys use? Right now I'm going with these really cool flowers... at one point all I had available was teddy bears, so I hope they don't mind.

Hee hee... none of this makes any difference, but it's fun to share idiosyncrasies and such things during this stressful time.

I hope you have the time to do all that. It was bad enough that DD sent a postcard to one school which still has the name of another school on the back.

If it keeps you from stressing out, why not? If it keeps you from doing your homework, it is a different issue. I suspect that most adcoms do not see the envelopes at all. They have student office helpers to open, sort and file applications.
