Alright so the USPS site said letters weighing under 1 oz is 42 cents while under 2 oz is 59 cents. Did anyone have a problem where your teacher wrote a two page recommendation and sent that along with the common app forms and got your mail rejected because of weight issues and not enough stamps?

When in doubt just weight the number of pieces of paper you think will be in the envelope. But I don't remember a problem.

Put two standard stamps and you should be fine. Always better to pay more than less.

A standard envelope and three letter size papers still is under 1 oz. You'd be fine with one stamp.

I had a great job () in which I stuffed envelopes for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week so I can safely tell you that 1oz = 4 pages or less, 2oz = 5 pages or more. But if you're worried, just put two stamps on it; no harm no foul.
