environmental biology programs?!

so, i'm trying to decide whether to attend university of chicago or cornell (arts and sciences), and i want to go in under a biology major...except for ecological/environmental biology and not (at all!!!!) pre-med.

im having trouble determining the strength of the program at either school. most of the biology information i find pertains to the pre-medical side of things since that tends to be the focus for biology majors, but i know each school has an environmental program. if anybody has some good info on either school about this, please share :)

any help would be very much appreciated!

ps. on stanford waitlist, so on the extremely unlikely chance that i get accepted from there, whats stanford's ecological bio program like?
