I am waiting for college admission results. I am really into environmental conservation, ecology projects, etc. I would not be majoring in environmental science when I start college though, but I want to be involved in an EC in college that concentrates on environmental issues. Any ideas on what kind of EC stuff I should be on look out for? Thanks!

One question to ask yourself regarding the college of your choosing - is the school itself environmentally friendly - if not - or not as much as they could be - you can certainly do something about it - start an environmental club - start change in the direction that will get the school alot more invovled - if they do not recycle - initiate a recycle program - start a go green program - there are lots of things you can do to be involved. Just some ideas :)

Colleges tend to have much more active and effective environmental groups than high schools. You should be able to find something pretty easily.

Well, my school is not exactly the haven of liberal thought and it still has an environmental awareness org., which does alot of environmentally conscious things, such as they had a CFL bulb sale, gave away carry mugs and cloth shopping bags, etc. You should be able to find a club pretty easily.

You should check out CALPIRG (California Public Interest Research Group), if they have a 'chapter' on your future campus.
