Environmental Engineering - Is it for me?

I'm a senior in HS and have been locked into engineering for a while now. I'm in PLTW Engineering at my school. I've taken Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, and Biotechnical Engineering. I'm taking Engineering Design & Development right now, and Civil Engineering & Architecture next semester.

So far what I've learned from these classes is that I really enjoy building and designing. I really love designing something and watching it be created, from hydroponics systems to composters to iPhone cases. When I was little I always wanted to be an architect, but there's not a whole lot of job availability or money in that. Modeling on Autodesk Inventor is fun too.

I'm currently taking AP Environmental Science and I also love it. I'm interested in what we're learning, plus it all makes sense to me - the information is extremely logical and easy to understand, and for some reason I remember it all very well. I'm very interested in geology as well, but haven't been able to taken any classes in it.

I'd like to work outdoors someday, at least part of the time. Traveling would be awesome. If Environmental Engineering is what I think it is, it seems like a good fit for me.

Job availability for Environmental Engineers is supposedly growing faster than many other lines of work. Based on my limited knowledge, I think as our world gets more and more trashed and we have to start going green, we'll need more Environmental Engineers.

If it makes any difference, my dream school is Cal Poly SLO. If I go there, I'd love to get the MBA & MS in Engineering Management after I get a BS there.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate any help!
