Environmental Engineering

Which colleges are best for Environmental Engineering Undergraduate program. Also any idea if UCLA has Env. Engineering? Their website does not throw up any results for Env. Engg. Looks like they have that only as a Minor.

Any that are ABET accredited and that you can afford. Beyond that, check for availability of internships and research areas (particularly if you’re interested in research).

If your local state university is the one you can afford, you can get to an environmental engineering PE with a civil or chemical engineering undergrad if you choose a career that will give you the appropriate experience.

Way back when… my affordable state university didn’t offer environmental engineering, so I opted for civil and in my upper division classes I chose those that were environmental related. Dh has his undergrad in chemical engineering and once our state offered the environmental PE he was able to grandfather in an environmental PE registration based on experience. His master’s degree after that was in civil/environmental. We both have environmental PEs even though our undergrad degrees weren’t environmental.

Yeah, you might want to revisit the UCLA site. Their Civil and Environmental Engineering Department has descriptions of the options.

SUNY - ESF, you can major in it and get certified. One of the best in the country.

Allegheny - One of the best undergraduate programs in Environmental Science. They have and Environmental Geology major too. You might need to call the dept to if it’s possible to graduate as an Environmental Engineer with equivalent coursework and possible certification.

How good is the Environmental Engineering program in Duke for undergradutes?
