Environmental Law

I have been looking at certain undergrad programs and then into environmental law quite a bit. I've found some information that a technical degree, specifically environmental engineering can be an excellent foundation for a law degree that focuses on the environment (and can even boost salary). I have also heard from some people that it doesnt really make sense or is not worth it. One reason I am trying to figure this out is because I also have not ruled out a more liberal arts science policy undergrad major such as natural resources. Anyone have any thoughts?
