Environmental or Physics C (have taken B already)

So I am planning to fix my senior schedule with my counselor this month and I need some advice. Here are the classes I'm currently planning to take:

-AP Stat
-AP Spanish
-AP Lit
-AP Bio
-AP Macro/Micro
-Gym
-Anatomy/Physiology

And the last slot would go to either Environmental or Physics C. Keep in mind, i took Physics B sophmore year and managed to get a 4. Also, Environmental is an easy AP which will help keep my GPA up. But I don't want colleges to think my coarseload isn't rigorous enough. What do you guys suggest?

First of all, you don’t need to worry about the rigor of your schedule. It’s already difficult enough.

Is the physics C class both mechanics and E/M? And have you already taken calculus? Physics C is calc based and so much more difficult than AP environmental that I don’t think the additional “rigor” is worth the extra work and time you’ll need to put in. If I were you, I’d either take environmental or neither and focus on those college applications

I actually took Calc BC junior year and manage to get 5s  And yep yep, I was good at mechanics in Physics B but Magnetism was killer. So Physics B is good enough for colleges? and yeah I’m trying to knock out these apps ASAP haha

Please take AP Physics C. With the background in Physics BC it’ll help and colleges will like that better than Environmental Physics. Trust me. Especially since you took AP Calc

If you think you can handle it, take physics C. But rigor wise, your schedule is already difficult enough.

Intended major in college?

Physics C is likely to be more useful for subject credit in college than Environmental Science.

I’m going to go a different route and ask you to ask yourself a) which one you think you will do better on b) which one you think is more interesting and c) which one your school will take as credit. If you want to be an engineer, unless you go to one of the larger state schools, many private colleges will not let you use either physics credit, or will launch you into a higher course without credit. Some schools might do the same for environmental science. Just think it over a little bit, and which ever one has the most yesses take!
