environmental protection agency

Has anyone ever interned at/know anyone who interned at/know anything about the internship program at the EPA? How hard is it get in to, what do you do once you're there, etc etc (I'm a biology major so I'd be applying as a biology trainee or one of the ones having to do with environmental science). Thank you!

bump…I guess I could think of it as a good thing that no one is replying because maybe that means it’s not TOO competitive? I can dream…

Well…I can tell you that with the changing of the guard in the Senate there will be major changes to EPA. Republicans have made it quite clear they intend to scale back it’s operations and watch what they are doing much more closely. Basically, I think they’re making it quite obvious they don’t like it and want it’s authority scaled back heavily.

From a blog I read:

““Unquestionably, there will be more oversight of the EPA,” said Roger Patrick, an environmental lawyer at Mayer Brown. “The president might even sign a bill to limit EPA’s authority.””

If you’re interested in working with the Sierra Club, a good friend of mine & fellow Bruin just took a job out in Austin with them, PM me if you’re interested… although I think we might be friends on facebook?
