Environmental Science AP

Does Environmental Science AP ever look bad on a transcript? In my school, Enviro AP has the rep of being the lazy students' AP. I'm dropping Chem AP to take it, since one semester of Chem conflicts with it?
Is this advisable?

Not a hard science like Chem or Physics.

Shouldn't drop any classes. I'm taking AP Enviro in sophomore year, Chemistry in summer, AP Bio in junior year, and AP Chem in senior year

Um. Take Chem AP. Looks soo much better.

Depends on where you are applying, what you want to study, and what interests you. Take the course you feel fits these criteria. One class is not going to make that much of a diffence at the end of the day. Unless you've sat in on an admissions file review..I doubt they are saying the kid who took AP Chem looks much better than the kid who took AP Environmental. Give me a break.

I'm afraid if they have two kids that are exactly the same besides that one science class, they will probably take the AP Chem student.

You can self-study environmental pretty easily, i hear.

if you are thinking long term, you need a chem background to fully take advantage of the environmental class

i took envi sci without chem and got a 5.
I feel like I am an envi sci advocate on cc.
its a really great class. Yeah it's not physics when it comes to "intense-ness" but it is an important class to take becuase unlike physics it is applicable to everyone. We should be taking care of the earth. Then again, i will be a poly sci major so it makes a little more sense for me.
don't worry too much about one class.

ap environmental is pretty demanding at my school, not a lazy student- class at all.
