What are the best colleges in California for environmental science? I have a 4.6 GPA and 2060 SAT (will retake for 2200+)

Also, how hard is it to get into UC Berkeley for an environmental science major compared to other majors there?

Can anyone help me?

Is 4.6 your uc GPA?

My uc GPA would be 4.68.

I think you have a good shot!

With a UC GPA of 4.6, and an SAT of over 2000, you’re competitive for all of the UCs. I’d strongly recommend UC Santa Cruz as it’s in the middle of a forest, has excellent ecology, oceanic science, geology, etc. You’re basically guarenteed admission and may even be competitive for Regents. Other good options are UCSB, UCSD, UCLA, and UCD. If you need a Cal State safety, both Humboldt State and Cal Poly SLO offer good programs that at least partially relate to environmental science.

The Claremonts offer good environmental policy, although I’d personally choose a UC over the Claremonts for environmental science (more offerings which is important for such a broad field of study).
