Hi all! Just wondering if someone could describe the differences between environmental sciences degree and environmental studies degree. Which one would be more useful in the job market?

Environmental studies is a BA degree and would have more liberal studies, political science, economics type classes required for the major. Environmental science is a BS degree and would have physics, chemistry, biology based classes required for the major. For many schools, a Environmental Studies degree would be available as a BA or BS with an emphasis in science being the difference. Environmental Studies or Science major is used interchangeably by many institutions.
As which is more useful in the job market, that would depend upon your emphasis. If you want to go into Environmental Policy or Urban planning, you are looking at a BA degree. If you want to go into Climate Change or Alternative Energy, a BS degree would be more helpful.
If you are interested in the major, I would look at the requirements for each to see which Cirriculum suits you best.
