<p>I'm looking into majoring in Economics. I'm pretty sure that's what I want to do.</p>
<p>However, I keep flip-flopping over what else I should study. I've thought about journalism and political science. I think it depends on which school I end up attending (ex: Northwestern=journalism minor).</p>
<p>I have a...thing, I guess is the only way to put it...for global warming. I find myself checking the weather channel website just to see how things are going and I think Al Gore is a hero. I'm thinking now about minoring in environmental sciences.</p>
<p>What do you think about a focus on economics with environmental sciences?

What are some good schools in the northeast/mid-atlantic/great lakes regions with good environmental sciences programs? Size of school/selectivity doesn't matter for now.</p>
<p>The program has remarkable support: an 800 acre arboretum adjacent to the campus serving as a living laboratory for multiple ongoing research projects, a renowned geology program that turns out more phd’s than any college or university in the nation, and an administration whose commitment to the environment and sustainability led to the the first utility grade wind turbine in the country to be owned by a college - it currently provides close to 50% of the total electrical needs of the campus.</p>
