Environmental Studies and Sustainability

How involved in environmental issues and sustainability are students?

I've heard the environmental engineering program is great at Stanford - can anybody vouch for this? How does it compare with Cornell? Or Yale? Or other schools with this type of program.

What are my chances of getting in? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1071667-chance-me-looking-ivies-other-top-schools-environmental-studies.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1071667-chance-me-looking-ivies-other-top-schools-environmental-studies.html</a></p>

For those who don't like to read:
-4.6 weighted GPA - 790V/780W/800M - Lifeguard - Marine Biology/Env Studies summer program that got me interested in this field of study - Model UN - Lifeguard - Animal Shelter volunteer and paid parttime at an animal hospital/vet clinic (more at link!)

there are a lot of options connecting engineering and environmental issues here
Civil and Environmental Engineering is a good major for that

and please stop with the dumb chance threads
