I completed the EOP Application way back in like November or sometime ago and now it’s nearing March and I just wanted to know when I’ll hear back from them. For reference I only applied to the state schools in ca. These include: Sonoma, San Diego, Northridge, Long Beach, Fullerton, and San Jose. I applied to the EOP and of course regular admission but I don’t know who I’ll hear from first? Like from what I understand and have read, EOP admits students and if you don’t get admit through them then they send your application to regular admissions.
Also I know that EOP admits only financially disadvantaged students/ historically disadvangated minorities. I don’t want to be pull out my ‘minority card’ but I am Mexican American and on my FAFSA it showed I had an EOP of 0. So I don’t know if that affects my chances of being admitted/denied.
Thanks.
You should hear about EOP around the same time as the CSU decisions. Have you gotten any CSU decisions yet?
Just be aware there are more qualified applicants for EOP than their are spots available. There is always a chance of being denied.
I know there are chances of being denied. Like Long Beach, who has already denied me. I went to their website and it said denied but I didn’t hear anything from EOP. So why is that?
Long Beach wasn’t my “dream school” but it was up there
From the EOP website:
Since CSULB denied you as an applicant for admission, they will not evaluate your EOP application.
I got accepted to Cal Poly’s EOP program but denied to CSUF’s program.
