EOP Program Reqs?

Hello,
I have recently been chanced RD after being deferred ED and most people didn't have anything to good to say. I have been emailing back and forth with an admissions counselor and eventually we talked over the phone. He said my low sat scores had very little to do with my admission because the rest of my application was so strong and the only real flaw I had was NVMCP because it didn't allow me the schedule time to take calculus but I still had a good shot as first marking period avg was 99.5% UW and graduating valedictorian as well as NYS resident and good recs. My question is about the EOP program. He told me that it was written in my application by the reviewer that I may be eligible and he told me to look into it and that it was generously raise my chance of admittance. He really seemed enthusiastic about it and said I had a very good shot. After looking it up I meet the economic reqs by a lot. I also am first generation. However I read things about SAT caps and GPA caps which I might be above. Does anybody have specific, more up to date info on the academic reqs? Anything else I should know about the program?
Thanks!
