Equal Stress Opportunity-It's Merit Award Season

Full tuition rates just $$ on a scale of 1 - 5? Boy, you people are optimistic :) ... and I'm speaking as one who has one D in MD/PhD grad school, the other in undergrad. Both (praise Moolah) on full-tuition + some extra$. The tuition + stipend is quite common at PhD level, but rare at undergrad level, I think. I'm still paying for D1's undergrad years.

I agree o-dad. For those who don't want to get specific a legend could be made. For me it would be 1/4 tuition or so $, 1/2 tuition or so $$, 3/4 tuition $$$ or so, full tuition $$$$ or so, and full-ride $$$$$. We could have Five star plus ($$$$$$+) for the stipend, computer, summer program people. All seven of them in the U.S. (JK) And I guess it could be O.K. to use + when it is in between two levels.

Cur, you know I am right there with you, buddy. Our DDs have applied to two of the same schools and will both be competing for those top scholarships. Wouldn't it be a hoot if they ended up at the same school and both got fabulous scholarships? I am so keeping my fingers crossed. I thought the periods of nausea were over once the applications were complete and turned in, so why do I feel the sudden need to purge? AAAAACCCCCK!

Amanda, letters recently went out (DD received her's today), so I'm sure you'll be getting something soon. Have you posted at the Hendrix portion of this board? If not, come on over. <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/forumdisplay.php?f=212%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/forumdisplay.php?f=212</a></p>

slashmom, I drove the bumpy mile to the gate (our mail gets her at 5 pm). Nothing from Hendrix or Case. I came back all depressed. D was laughing at me. Saying something about a lump of coal.

LOL, cur. I'd be willing to bet your DDs letter will be waiting for you in the mailbox tomorrow. DD was so excited about her Hendrix letter today, she totally missed a letter she had been trying to intercept that was addressed to hubby and me. For Christmas, she donated enough money in our name to feed 24 people at our local rescue mission. It made me cry when I read it. I think we'll keep her after all.

thanks jmmom - is that a good lookin' quote.....or what? :)

Curmudgeon - I'm thinking you must have one of those "contract" mail carriers who are in no hurry to deliver mail. Have you considered a nice Christmas present to him/her?
