Can anyone offer info? My daughter rides very well, but unsure of the credentials needed or process to get an athletic scholarship in this sport.

You will need to check which colleges have equestrian teams and whether they offer any $. Most athletic scholarships are for Division I NCAA sports- check at the NCAA website if equestrian is included.

For example, Skidmore and Mt. Holyoke have riding programs, you might want to start by researching them.

The process is to make herself known to colleges that she is interested in and have equestrian programs.

It will be hard work, but she has to make the first contacts. Issues about credentials and so on will depend on the college. A college can take an athlete for any reason, there is no minimum requirement that I know of except grade minima.
