I equine science like veterinary medicine for horses?

equine science also has to do with breeding and riding. Yes anatomy and vetinary study come along (i think... im not the horse obsessed one)

and I almost frgot... THANKS A TON
Any more names, i wiould be greatly appreciative

I know someone at UConn majoring in equine studies- shes happy with the program

There is a book called "Horse Schools" or "Horse Colleges" available through Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

none of ivies have equine studies???
Not that it matters, but I did expect them to have it...
Thanks again.. will pass on these names to my sister and Ive been asked to say thanks from her to you all

Equestrian majors are going to be hard to find at top schools, but if your sister is thinking of vet school she can get a great education in a science major at one of the top schools and then apply to vet school.

If she's a GOOD rider it may be a hook for Stanford. See the thread I posted a while back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=94024&highlight=stanford+equestrian

point... more important than a top school would be a top class program..

My friend goes to Skidmore college, and is heavily involved in their equestrian program. im not sure if its a major, but theres definitely an established club.
