ER or RD?

So I see that a lot of people have already turned in their ER's.. if we don't have any special hooks (legacy, etc.) or anything, should we bother with ER?

My stats are about the mid-50% of UMich applicants, in the upper 25% (25-50%) of accepted applicants. I just started my application today, but I'm worried if I don't ER, I won't get considered for scholarships and honors programs..

Does anyone have any more info about this?

Why wouldn’t you ER? People are accepted on a rolling basis, it can’t hurt you to apply early

Yeah, applying late significantly lowers your chances because there are so few slots left. I remember a 34 ACT 3.9+ GPA got WLed last year because he applied so late.

RONDIZZLE: I’m worried about being rejected.

If I get rejected, I can always try again right? Or does UMich not reject often? I would assume they would just defer most of the people to look at senior year grades?

Thanks for your response too, yosup. That got me thinking.

Definitely apply early if you can.

Michigan rarely rejects anyone ED…The worst that happens is that you get deferred and your app gets thrown in with the rest of the RD’s.

The later you apply, the less spots they have to fill, which is not good

Alrighty, thanks guys! I will definitely apply ER, thank you :)
