For college I want to study computer science and filmmaking. Filmmaking can be a minor or double-major, if filmmaking is not available, I would also love to learn to write screenplays. I am thinking about applying to Stanford EA because it is a prestigious school with good weather and plenty of opportunities(bay area and palo alto), but I also really love MIT and CMU for the intensity of learning. I took my SAT last year and it wasn't very good. I got 2100. I am taking it again in October and am expecting to get over 2200. I got 800s on SATII math level II as well as physics.
P.S. I would really appreciate it if you can give me some more schools that might suit me, thanks.

An increase of 100 points on an SAT re-take would be unusual. The average score increase is 40 points. 45 percent of retakes result in drops or no change.

If you’re open to considering a small college, check out Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) and its film program.

Wesleyan probably would be a reach, but not as much as Stanford or MIT.
Other possibilities? Check out (roughly in order of selectivity):
Columbia
Brown + RISD
USC
NYU
Chapman

Well, an increase of 100 points would be difficult for native speakers since it wouldn’t be likely for your English to improve much but English is not my first language. But still it requires hard work.
Also, I am not just looking into film school, CS is more important to me and I might consider getting my Master’s degree in computer science. Filmmaking is just something that I really want to learn and do.
Thanks anyway.

I assume that I might be able to get over 2200 is because when I took TOEFL (test of english as a foreign language) slightly before I took my last SAT, I got 99/120. A few months back, when I wanted to improve my TOEFL score and took it again, I got 117/120. But still, I am only assuming that I can make similar progress on the SATs
