I can't find anything recent on Northeastern's site about keeping animals in the dorms, so I was wondering if anyone knows anything...? Can we keep small rodents or fish or hermit crabs or any little creatures?? thanks : D

i think just fish

Just fish. Well I think you’re allowed to have fish… My RA freshman year knew we had a fish and never said anything, so I"m pretty sure its fine.

Definitely not rodents. You aren’t even allowed to have tiny turtles.

: (
Well that’s disheartening.
O well. Fish are pretty cool too : )

if you like rodents, you may be in luck. Depending what dorm you live in, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding some mice around… haha just kidding! kinda.

haha seriously?? I board at a really old school (where only fish are allowed… and hermit crabs: ) so yeah I’m sadly kind of used to a few mice running about every now and then… maybe they’ll be tameable : D just kidding.
No but really I’m not all that obsessed with rodents, haha - I was kind of just wondering how open-minded people are as to letting students keep pets in the dorms…

thanks for the replies : ) !!

… there are dorms that don’t have mice??? :D

I saw a HUGE rat running on open ground by a dorm once. I screamed so loud…
