error in a book? (grammar)

The answer key says the answer is (E). However, I think the answer should be (D) which should be changed to "higher than those"?)

At the local community library/u, patrons may check out/u an unlimited number of books/u, but the overdue fines are much higher/u than other libraries. No error/u

what do you guys think?

yeah it’s D
just curious, what’s the source of that question?

411 SAT Essay Prompts and Writing Questions  It’s not very good… haha I think I spotted a few more mistakes, and I was skimming. and the questions aren’t all that challenging. But I found it online so I’m not really complaining… it’s just that it’s kind of sad that these sort of things would actually get published.

Nah. PR 11 tests has tons of mistakes, as does most prep books out there (Barron’s notoriously has the most). Even CB blue book has a horde of mistakes in the answers, although they’re corrected in the errata available at the bb owners area.

I don’t think the mistakes are limited to SAT either. You’ll find errors in almost all prep books. I remember specifically Barron’s AP Language and Composition. Man was that a stressful experience…

It really makes you wonder who writes/edits these books…
