Son submitted a few colleges over the week and was submitting another tonight. I happened to notice one of his Ap scores was wrong. Showed a 2 vs the 5 he earned. I don’t know how it changed as we looked at his 1 submission pdf and it was correct. We immediately changed it back and submitted the one correctly tonight. And ordered official copies sent to the other 2. I’ve told him to reach out and email the AO’s at the schools. I’m trying to look through forums to see if similar happened and results but thought I’d ask here as well. Any advice. Thanks in advance!
The AOs know It happens. Just have him email the corrected info. Print out the PDF for each and make sure that is the only thing. The college may not look at the college board report until after the possible acceptance and enrollment when course credits are awarded or courses waived.
Thxs for your response. I’d imagine it could be more common, there’s so many places for errors in the common app. I told him to email the AO. I assume the contact would be in the confirmation link to set up portals and such. If not, i know they are listed on the college websites. We’re more concerned about the low score looking bad on his application vs getting any credits for the course upon admission.
They will update it in the data they downloaded.
Where in the common app do you include AP scores?
See the image below, report AP scores under the Common App tab, select Testing from the menu on the left, and AP tests will be a choice in the pull down menu as circled. Then, you will be asked how many AP tests you wish to report, then you enter which ones and your scores.
You can also enter tests planned for next May. Just select May 2023 as the date and enter no score.
