I recently was admitted at Sacramento State for spring 2018 and I have already submitted my intent to enroll. As I was adding the school in my fafsa application, the income seemed different. I looked at my old application and saw that instead of putting my income from 2015, I put the income I received for 2016, which is $9000 less. Will this cause for my admission to be rescinded? I wasn’t being dishonest. I read it wrong due to nerves. I’m really worried about my admission being revoked because of this stupid mistake.
Why would they rescind your acceptance for a FAFSA issue? Seems more likely that they would just adjust your financial aid. And why would the most recent financial information hurt you? It seems to me that you would want them to have it since it could benefit you.
However, CALL THEM. They have the actual answer. If it’s a serious mistake, don’t run from it and HOPE they don’t catch it. That almost never works out. Face it and solve it. You’l have to face it eventually anyway.
first of all, congrats! Go Hornets!
it will have no impact on admissions but, you need to correct the error ASAP. Call them today.
