My D just finished practice test #6 and feels that two answers listed in the book are incorrect. I think they are too. Are we both wrong? Did anyone else find this to be the case? Thanks!
@hsparent17 if possible, could you post the questions w/ answer choices and book answers (I don’t have the book).
@MITer94 Thanks for your help!
Test 6
Question 2. Two 6-sided dice are rolled. What is the probability that the sum of the faces showing up is greater than 4? (a)1/12 (b) 1/6 © 7/11 (d) 7/10 (e) 5/6.
She said (e) 5/6. Answer key said (b).
Question 26. If logb x = 0.2 and logb y =0.4 what is the relationship between x and y? (a) y=2x (b) y=x squared © y=square root x (d) xy-0.06 (e) xy = log 0.6/log b.
She said (b) y=x squared. Answer key said (e) but the explanation reads like answer should be (b).
@hsparent17 Yes, book answers are incorrect on both questions. For Q. 2, answer cannot possibly be less than 1/2 (answer is 1 - 1/36 - 2/36 - 3/36 = 5/6).
Thank you so much!
