i submitted my commonapp yesterday and found ERRORS on it!!! for example, i spelled secretary "secratary". WHAT DO I DO??? Could I correct it and send another app to my college via mail b4 the deadline?

Anyone!!! Please

don't send another app. it's okay, they will forgive you those errors.

What if you send in the revised version via snail mail and tell them to void the online submission of the essay? You would have to speak directly with the admissions office.

yeah that's what i was thinking of doing. do you think that they would really void it as in delete it? or would they still look at/consider the app with the mistake?

bump please.

again, bump.

print out a corrected draft and send it to the admissions office with a brief hand written note. they will appreciate the effort and your attention to detail. Make your note brief and not too intense or too apologetic (don't agonize, its a monor goof) ...it's just a minor goof that you have the attention to craftsmanship to correct. good luck. Actually I sent in an essay / writing sample to college for a work study job that had a typo in it and I had to do a similar thing. Just send in the corrected draft with a short explanation and hope for the best.
