i submitted my commonapp yesterday and found ERRORS on it!!! for example, i spelled secretary "secratary". WHAT DO I DO??? Could I correct it and send another app to my college via mail b4 the deadline?

anyone? please help, i need to know soon what to do.

Whoops: I hope that you aren't shafted. I don't know what to tell you other than to proof read all apps.

Since you are concerned about this, why don't you just call the admissions office and ask if you can submit a new copy? I can't see that this would create any additional problems.

any more suggestions??

How many errors and are they all typos or is there something you need to add or delete? If they're all typos, I suggest an e-mail or a letter to the admissions counselor letting them know you didn't catch the errors until after you had submitted the application. You can edit before sending it to other schools, but I would not resend it to the schools to which you have already submitted it, as that may be confusing. Good luck! Triple-check your e-mail or letter before sending it. ;)

My son had an error on his University of Chicago application that was pretty embarrasing. We called and spoke to a secretary in the office. She pulled it right up and corrected it per our instructions, with a pencil. We could have faxed her the correct page and she would have replaced it. I am sure you can do this and the admissions officer will never even know --or even if they did, so what? Call the office and ask to fax a replacement page asap and request that the original be tossed. (Our son was accepted by Chigaco.)
