<p>haha yeah. Really, I think people probably prefer whatever they learned first on, and whatever the majority of their acquaintances have. But I can't handle the way you have to click to read friend's on Xanga. I'm too spoiled ;)</p>

"Your subscriptions" is a lot like "friends" on LJ, it gathers all your friends' recent entries there on one page.</p>
<p>Lol, 'bree. Actually, it's worked out for my friends: now they know with whom I'll be hanging out for the next four years (or at least the type of people). Now, whenever I tell a story about "a friend" (e.g. "I have a friend who's traveling across Europe," "I have a friend in NYC with puffy earrings," "I have a friend in Alaska who raps like you wouldn't believe," "I have a friend in Arizona who swims," "I have a friend who [sadly] lives in Michigan," etc. etc.), they know to complete it with "who's going to Princeton," or who will hopefully be doing so :) It's kind of funny.</p>
<p>Yeah, I'm an online journal geek. I have 5 blogs (none of which I write in anymore), a xanga, and an LJ. Mmm...nerdy times, nerdy times...</p>

<p>But are you allowed to do that if you don't have your own? I.E. can I go and read your subscriptions right now? Cause I can on LJ, and when I'm bored, I do things like read the Princeton community friends page just because I can.</p>
<p>Have any of you ever seen "Open Your Eyes"/"Abre los ojos"? It's the spanish precursor to Vanilla Sky and we were watching it in Spanish today and, never having seen vanilla sky, I found it really weird...
lol, I don't know why I mentioned that, except this thread is still titled "Es posible?" and it made me think of spanish. </p>

<p>Vanilla Sky was very funky...I didn't like it but Abre Los Ojos was better. still, I'm a cheesy romantic comedy/unrealistic action movie kind of girl.</p>
<p>I've liked all the spanish movies we've watched. They're always more dramatic and less predictable. And so, so blunt. Have you seen Hable con ella, or La comunidad? I really liked Hable con ella, it was weird and artsy.</p>
<p>no...the last spanish movie i saw was the motorcycle diaries that was subtitled in english...great movie with foul language that wasn't merely gratuitous. and then i saw a couple years ago y tu mama tambien, which was good except for one scene which was enough to pretty much ruin the movie. i'm much more into hindi movies.</p>
<p>i thought both movies were equally brilliant....the thing i didnt like about y tu mama tambien was that JUST as it had climaxed, we were left wondering "what happened?". Although i think it was brilliant of how they did the whole snapshot in time thing, i sorta felt unsatisfied at the end of the movie....</p>
<p>i loved the symbolism in motorcycle diaries....it was so beautiful and deep</p>

<p>What I found funny was that the Y Tu Mama Tambien director did the Harry Potter movie....haha...it sounded like a complete mismatch.</p>
