I have my son booked for a flight out of Birmingham around 630 pm on Wednesday night, and I was wondering if there was anyone out there already booked on eShuttle, perhaps leaving Bama around 330 or so. His last class is 3 PM on Wednesday, but he usually meets with his research professor after that.

I’m not sure if he’ll be able to take this flight, as he needs to work on his project in the lab and may need to stay through Wednesday night. If so, I may drive up to get him myself and head home early Thursday morning.

The housing shuttles don’t work with our flights, so it seems he’ll either have to get a ride or use eShuttle if he does decide to fly.

Has anyone used eShuttle this year? Son used housing’s shuttle for Fall Break last year, but other trips home involved us picking him up and bringing him back.

^I just called eShuttle on the chance that they already have a shuttle leaving UA on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26th, and they do, with a currently vague time of between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. I booked a seat for my son ($55).

I couldnt find the housing shuttle on my bama. Could someone post the link to that? Trying to book December return this week. How much is it? Is it reliable? You need reservations, right?

The housing shuttle is reliable and reservations are required. While one can make reservations up until a day or so prior to the departure from UA, I recommend reserving a space 2-3 weeks beforehand.

The website for the housing shuttle is [Student Affairs | Housing & Residential Communities](http://housing.ua.edu/on_campus/shuttle.cfm) Note that students must make reservations in person at the Housing and Residential Communities office in Burke Hall. Credit cards are the preferred form of payment ($40 one-way, $60 roundtrip.)

^^^Thanks, randomparent. I don’t know if my son will be ready until 3:30 or 4:00. He’s booked on a 6:50 flight. Glad to know there are others leaving around that time, as that will reduce the cost.

I’ll give them a call as we get closer to the time and he’s talked to his professors.

When I visited the Housing office, I also saw a list of taxi companies and their prices between BHM and Tuscaloosa. The one-way prices I saw from the airport were $90 with an additional $10 student discount and from Tuscaloosa they were $80 plus an additional student discount. The list isn’t posted online, so you would have to call Housing and ask for the list.

Thanks, guys. Wasn’t sure if Executive Shuttle and eShuttle were the same or not. Thanks for the taxi info, too. Hopefully, we won’t have to use that, but in a pinch, good to know you can get a cab to the airport as well.
