Espanol

So I faintly remember when I talked to my counselor about transferring to Berkeley a year ago she told me that they require you to have taken 3 years of foreign language in h/s for graduation OR you could take 2 semesters at the college level. I am curious about this because it could really have an impact of what school I decide to go to, I was miserable at Spanish is hs so I don't know if I could do it a UCB while being able to complete my other classes. I did see that have an intense 10 unit course you can take over the summer which would seem like a great option... but idk. ANyways I guess I will try to find out my original question but I thought maybe posting on here would save me some time and I could acutally get to my HW...

yes foreign language is a requirement.

why take Spanish again though, why don’t you try a Germanic language instead? it may be easier for you.

Is it 3 years was more of my question.
Well honestly Spanish would be my first choice because I plan to major in social welfare and most likely will get my MSW and I just feel like speaking spanish will be most useful for me.

At my college, it was only one semester.

yeah it is 3 years, with a C or better.

hmm yes Spanish would be more helpful.

Thanks! :/…
Hmm interesting… I’m glad I read about the summer intensive thing… that seems about the only way i would learn… and I mean I would be interested in learning… maybe I did so poorly in h/s because I was a slacker…

Was there a box to check off if We completed language in hs?

I was a slacker in hs and failed my third year of Spanish. Good think I took the sat II language test and scored very well for spanish. :)

Was there a box to check off.

SOOOOO happy I’m not in L&S. Who wants to be well rounded when you can cut like a knife?

What 10 unit course? Link? I’m interested in learning Spanish as well.

Can somebody answer

i thought it was only one semester…
