<p>It's like a resume, but you write in full sentences 1. what it was 2. what you did in/for that activity, like your specific job or contribution 3. how much time (years, hrs/per) you spent on it. If you want to, you can elaborate on a few that were really important to you (I didn't).</p>
<p>This seems to be a similar question to the activity section for the common-app. As such, I have planned (although I could change this) to list activities and awards in a similar format (list with grades, hours per week, weeks, and any other descriptive sections.</p>

<p>i personally did a paragraph on my top few activities and then attached a resume...in reality it is up to you. they make it open ended for a reason. they aren't looking for anything specific.</p>

<p>It IS open ended for a reason. Describe it in whatever way portraits you best. If you do essays, then consider mailing or adding online (if possible) a resume.</p>
