Essay #4 Help

4 on the Personal Statement. I don’t really get what they are asking for.

It seems they just want a resume type deal with a brief explanation of what else thing was.

Am I getting the right impression? I just need some clarity.

Also – Its all right to type both essays and attach them, right?

It's like a resume, but you write in full sentences 1. what it was 2. what you did in/for that activity, like your specific job or contribution 3. how much time (years, hrs/per) you spent on it. If you want to, you can elaborate on a few that were really important to you (I didn't).

I am doing this in list format then, right? It almost seems as though they want it to be a proper essay w/paragraphs.

COuld someone share the first couple parts of their essay, so I can get a feel of how to approach this?

Its kind of urgent.

This seems to be a similar question to the activity section for the common-app. As such, I have planned (although I could change this) to list activities and awards in a similar format (list with grades, hours per week, weeks, and any other descriptive sections.

Any ideas. Should this be done like the common-app.

i personally did a paragraph on my top few activities and then attached a resume...in reality it is up to you. they make it open ended for a reason. they aren't looking for anything specific.

sarryeyedgirl,

Thanks for clearing this up. After looking on all 5 threads, I realized that there is no clear choice.

It IS open ended for a reason. Describe it in whatever way portraits you best. If you do essays, then consider mailing or adding online (if possible) a resume.

mine was very straight forward.

described my leadership postioins, listed the rest
