<p>I don’t think I’d bother, unless the tweaked essay is a drastic improvement over the one you submitted. If you decide to do it, consider sending a fax instead; it will be received more quickly, and it will be easier for the Admissions folks to grab it and put it in your file (hence more likely that it will get included).</p>
<p>That is not “last-minute”. Deadlines are deadlines; if they let everybody keep revising their essays after the deadline then you’d have to wait forever to get your decision.</p>
