Essay Driving me Nuts!

So I’ve written the BMC essay about five times now and I just don’t think I’m coming up with anything good. I’ve given up and decided to leave it as it is.
Is someone willing to read and let me know if it’s passable or good enough?

I’m proud of the general Common App. essay, so I’m trying not to stress too much about this one but I still am…

Help?

I felt the same way when writing my supplemental essays. No matter how many times I revised, it didn’t seem good enough.

If you feel like you’ve said all you can say, then maybe it would be best to just leave it alone. The best piece of advice I received about college application essays was, “It doesn’t have to be The Best. You just have to convince the admissions officers that you’re not an idiot”. This made the whole essay-writing process a lot less stressful for me.

I’m sure you’ll be fine, but good luck anyway! :)

Remember that you need to tell Bryn Mawr why YOU are the PERFECT person for them to invite onto campus. Think of yourself as a product–one among many-- and tell them why they should pick you, & not the next person. Can you sum it up in one sentence? I wouldn’t go so far as to say that your essays just have to show you’re “nt an idiot.” I think you have to coherently explain why you are perfect for Bryn Mawr. Be honest but also don’t be humble.
