I just submitted my common app essay to 2 schools and after submission I noticed a word that I had left out. I was wondering how much of an isssue this is. I have already e-mailed the two admissions counselors explaining what happened and I sent along a corrected version. Also, now that I cannot make any changes to this essay, do I just send the corrected version to each school before I submit my online app?
Any suggestions would be helpful

C'mon guys, some input please..

If it's only one word, I honestly wouldn't worry about it (..easier said than done). You've already contacted the admissions counselors, so there is nothing else you can really do.

Didn't they just make new rules for the common app? I was under the impression that now you ARE allowed to change your common app before applying to each school. I think you can fix that essay before you send it to more schools.

Not that I know of, because after my submission I went on and everything on my app is kind of whited out and it does not allow me to make changes.

you were right, you can create an alternative version
