I am taking the ACT this Saturday. I want to make sure my essay gets a good score. From my observation, I have gathered that a good essay looks like this. Please correct anything that's wrong.

Intro: State viewpoint, give 3 arguments, give thesis.
B1: Elaborate on argument 1.
B2: Elaborate on argument 2.
B3: Elaborate on argument 3.
Conclusion: Restate thesis in a different way and tie together ideas.

Is there a place where I should "shoot down" the opposing arguments?

I don’t know much at all about the ACT essay, but one of the comments on my score report was, “Your essay showed recognition of the complexity of the issue by addressing counterarguments.” I got a 9.
