I’m working on my “Why Penn” essay. Right now it is about 800 words, size 12 times new roman, 1 inch margins, single spaced. But it 1 page and 13 lines on the second page.

Do you think I should change my margins/font/font size so that it fits on 1 page? Do many people do this if their essay is too long? I dont want it to look like i tried to squeeze too much onto 1 page. I probably could cut down some, but not a whole 13 lines…

Any suggestions would be helpful :)

i think that when it says one page, they mean just one page and not to go over.

800 WORDS??? wow. i'm sure that you can trim it down if not just a little bit.

try to do the font adjustment, print preview, and if it's even a little bit straining on your eyes, it'll certainly be straining on someone who has been reading those essays all day.

it won't hurt you too much i don't think to do two pages.

I definitley don't want to go over 1 page!

now its 730 words! anyone else having trouble becuase their essay is too long? smaller margins/font?

Mine is seven lines past one page as of now...I still need to get it reviewed by my teachers.

654 words. Not too shabby IMO.
