<p>Depends… common app puts a heading on for you (name, common app ID) but for individual colleges, you may just do your name and DOB (and ID number for that school if you have one)</p>
<p>how do you know common app adds that? i viewed my document, but it didn’t add any of that on the top</p>
<p>That’s interesting. I just reviewed mine again and it does indeed have my full name in the top right corner as well as my full name and ID number on the bottom. Are you looking at the print preview? Did you upload the main essay (that’s what we’re talking about, right?). I can’t think of any other reason…</p>
<p>Oh! I think I got it. You are just looking at your essay while still under the Writing section and clicking “View Document.” Instead go to the top where it says “Print Preview” which gives you the whole app as the college will look at it. Scroll to the last page, which will be your essay with those additions… hope that works!</p>
