Hi everyone,

so for my essay i'm doing the prompt: USCs speaker series "What Matters to Me and Why" asks faculty and staff to reflect on their values, beliefs, and motivations. Presenters talk about choices they have made, difficulties encountered, and commitments solidified. Write an essay about an event or experience that helped you learn what is important to you and why it is important.

i was thinking about talking about a significant move in my life out of all the others and how this move actually had all these benefits. and at the end im going to say how i believe that change is not significant but how you respond to change as what's important to me, because it allows us to embrace new transformations and carries over into the rest of our life (keep an open mind to new concepts

does this answer the prompt?
thanks for the feedback :)

Use the internet for ideas on writing a good college admissions essay. There are some sites with fine suggestions.

Be sure to check English usage and spelling. A handy hint is to read the essay aloud. Awkward sentences and phrases will become evident.

Try to complete and recheck your application before January 10th. There were some computer difficulties before the Dec. 1 merit scholarship deadline when too many students were attempting to apply in the last few hours.

Common errors:

alright instead of all right

anyways instead of anyway

Watch their, there and they’re

Ditto on your and you’re

Watch its and it’s

sophomore instead of sophmore

Use affect and effect properly
