For the UNC-Chapel Hill essay, one of the prompts is that what work of science most intrigues, frightens, or infuriates you, and why?
im having trouble figuring what i think is the MOST intruiging, so i was wondering if some of you guys can say what you think is the most intruiging etc…
i dont want to copy you, just get an idea of what i write about…because after all, if i use what you think, it wouldn’t be what I feel, so that would be stupid to use what someone else feels…

Just throwing these out there, you can research them yourself:

Intrigues
-Quantum Teleportation
-Fusion Power
-Absolute Zero

Frightens
-DNA custom-picking of future children
-Genetic Modifications/Alterations to Humans
-Cybernetic Modifications to Humans

Honestly, just grab a Scientific American or even a Popular Science magazine and find something you get an emotional response to. Anything that makes you go, "Cool!" may be something you can write about

I find time travel and quantum mechanics to be really intriguing. (Okay well no one can time travel, but the possiblity and its effects are interesting.) There's a lot of cool stuff on quantum mechanics.
