i wrote my why? essay and i was hoping if someone would be kind enough to read it. thanks.

what major are you and what did you talk about?

I'm not too sure of my major but i'm interested in the international studies program & possibly pre-law. I talked about the study abroad programs, international studies program, and the clubs I'd like to join.

hm i don't know much about those fields (i'm an engineer). I probably wouldn't be much help.

why did u choose NU?

I chose NU because of HPME. But if I hadn't gotten into the program, I would say that NU is a good choice because it is strong across the board academically. The main benefit of this in my eyes is the opportunity to meet other people with diverse interests who may well be the head of their fields in a few years.

would u like 2 read it?

anyone want to read my why? essay?

if you like I can give it a look, though proofing college essays is not my area of expertise. I am an 08er myself, but for an entirely different school (SESP, apparently like no one applies to it so I'm a bit stuck on what to write myself...).

So ya, PM if you wish. I have some experience proofing my friends essays, plus my moms for her online college masters degree (she's an immigrant so her english is not great)

i hope this doesn't sound stalkerish or anything, but muzicgirl, i applied to SESP too!

lol, no not really. but apparently we are a rare breed. Oy, im so stuck on my supplement. Any advice since u applied too?

I am in SESP and kind of obsessed with it... so if you have any specific questions please ask away.

i basically wrote about how sesp offered the small community that i really wanted. i didn't really focus so much on the specific reason for sesp to be honest, not to mention the fact that my entire why nu supp was pretty short.
what do you plan on majoring in? i put social policy on my app but i'm not sure if i'm going to change that once i actually go to northwestern...
oh and dfleish, both my sisters were in sesp [one still is actually] and they both love[d] it also!

I am applying for Northwestern this year too, but to the school of engineering. I talked about the great flexibility they offer in the courses apart from a realistic approach to problem solving involving real life situations. I could read your essay if you want to, just pm me. I've already submitted mine btw

im also an 08er but i already submitted my application
ill critique it if ud like
