So I will talk about how my anxiety over the 4 years of highschool shaped me into a leader.

any opinions?

I think this is one of those “cliché topic, but if you write it in a unique way, it could be great” essays. Talking about anxiety/depression/other mental or physical illnesses in general tends to be an overused topic. However, any overused topic can be a great essay if it’s written in a unique way. I would suggest writing a draft and having some people on here look it over, if you’re comfortable with that (make sure you only send it to trusted posters with high post counts). As you’re writing, keep pounding yourself with the question “What makes me different from all of the other applicants who have struggled with anxiety in high school?” Make sure that the anxiety isn’t the focus of the essay - you don’t want the reader to come away thinking of you as “The Kid With Anxiety.” Good luck. :)
