<p>The benefits of … are demonstrated in the Marshall Plan of 1948</p>
<p>An example of the benefits of … lies in the campaign of Alexander the Great </p>
<p>Introducing a bad example? Try not to use a bad example. Make up a short story by Robert Louis Stevenson, or invent a personal example from your childhood-- but make sure the example supports your thesis solidly.</p>
<p>Or, if you HAVE to, make up a literary work and relate it back to your thesis. There is a 0.01% chance that the readers will actually check to make sure that your imaginary work exists.</p>

<p>To break that 11 and 12, you’ll want to be less generic. “First… Second… This obviously proves …” That’s totally fine for the SAT, but it’s not brilliant. And 11s and 12s need to be somewhat brilliant (as much as a 25 min formulaic essay can me)</p>
