Essay length for Columbia app

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>The essay I want to use for Columbia is ~627 words and the app says to limit it between 250-500. My essay, though, flows and doesn't seem long at all. It still fits onto 1 page single-spaced. Should I cut the excess words? I'm worried about it taking the meaning away from the essay. </p>

<p>its literally on the first page....you wouldn't have even had to do a search!</p>
